Prairie Dogs for Gold
Written by Jon.

Here’s a quick sample of the video content you’ll be getting access to in the Massive Gold Blueprint.

Check this out to see one of the super-easy techniques you’ll begin using around Day 5 of the 30-Day Blueprint plan to put the system into overdrive. Start raking in some serious Gold!

This is just one of dozens of specific techniques I’ll be revealing in depth, step-by-step, in the new guide.

Enjoy!

    Hi Jon,

after this video I set up a system with a “cow” buying the whistles sending them to my mule in both Orgrimar and Booty Bay and then selling them both in Horde and Alliance (IF) AH on EU_Ghostland.
I get 5g50s in the Horde and 8g50s in Alliance AH, sell about 1 per 3rd day in both AH!

    Hey Mats -

That’s a great result. There’s plenty more to come :)

Basically, one big component of the Gold Blueprint is to do about a dozen (or more) specific techniques like this one to generate plenty of gold to bankroll a bigger flow of income.

And as you’ve seen, it works really fast.

Mostly, you just have to get on and do it.

    So… keep it up!

    Hey Jon,

I don’t know how you came up with these ideas of yours but their great, I’ve been playing WOW for almost two years and i get excited will i get 100g I’m not even sure how I’d reacted getting 1000g wow just just craziness thinking about it. I like your prairie dog idea, i haven’t tried it out yet b/c i just got your e-mail but will for sure be trying it to day.

How did you find out where they were sold?

    Hi Jon,

In order to get an item from the horde to the alliance, you need 2 accounts or a friend to help; is that correct. Also the same is true for getting money across the factions, I think. Is there any other trick that I missed. Basically this requires having a horde toon sell an item to be bought by an alliance toon at a neutral AH.
I tried the prairie dog thing, but could not do it with one account, although I have both horde and allicance toons.

    Thanks

    Joe

    Hey Joe -

Yes, that’s right. You will have to trade with a friend or guild mate to get stuff across between factions. In theory, you can also sell items directly on the neutral auction house (Booty Bay for example), but it’s hardly worth the effort since nobody much looks there to buy.

You can still get a decent profit on Prairie Dogs just selling on the Horde auction house (target price 4g - 5g). But it’s worth getting a cross-faction trade system going for the added profits on MANY goods, not just this.

    Hi Heidi -

LOL - believe me, 1,000 gold is just a start. I’ll show you how to turn the first thousand into 5,000, 10,000, however much you need. I’m focusing on the first steps, because once you know the basic techniques that get you to 1,000, you can just keep going - the sky’s the limit.

It will change your life in WoW.

As far as how I find where to buy items like Prairie Dogs: several ways - talking to other players, reading data at sites like Wowhead and Thottbot, even reading on various forums. The main thing that sets my info apart from everyone else is TESTING: I don’t talk about anything until I test it and make sure it really works - i.e. not only buy the Prairie Dogs, but know that they actually sell for a big profit, and how best to sell them.

That’s why I did the 30-Day Gold Speed Run - to test and prove out the concept of making 1000 gold in 30 days, foolproof and step-by-step.

    Hey Jon

Love all your tips first of all. I had a question about running two acounts. If you have an alliance and horde charecters on the same sever, would auctioneer keep two different databases for each AH, or would it mix the two together? Just curious if doing this system would scew the prices. Thx

    Good question, Rich.

Auctioneer keeps everything tidy. It keeps separate data per faction and per server. So if you look at a single realm/server, it will have separate data for Horde, Alliance and Neutral. If you are playing on more than one server, it will keep all the servers data separate too.

You can even get the Advanced version to display pricing data for both Alliance and Horde simultaneously, but that’s tricky to configure, and I don’t usually bother.

One more question Jon. I’m about ready to start up another account to get cross faction trading going, but i just thought of something. To create another account you need a key code right? Does that mean you have to buy another copy of WOW? And thanks for your quick responce to my last question.

BTW, I’m using Dericks Fast Leveling guide that you reccomened and it’s been very helpful and quick.

Hiya Rich - sorry for the slow answer, I’m burning a lot of midnight oil making sure I put EVERYTHING possible into the Gold Blueprint for it’s release. Really soon now :)

Yes, to run another account yourself, you need to get another copy of WoW (and another copy of the Burning Crusade expansion). The best bet is to get a discounted copy of the original game wherever you can - it’s pretty cheap nowadays - then buy the Burning Crusade expansion key online direct from Blizzard. Cheaper that way.

Another approach is to get a trading partner you can work with. Big benefits for both of you, and you really only need to meet up once or twice a week in Booty Bay, with your opposite-faction mules at the Neutral Auction House.

    Hi Pat -

That one particular set up step takes a little longer than all the others… about 40 minutes or an hour. But it’s worth it.

Start from Stormwind (or Elwyn Forest or whatever), run to Westfall, through Westfall on the road heading south, then east towards Moonbrook… past Moonbrook out to east coast (don’t go *through* Moonbrook, you’ll get killed).

Stay on the cliffs above the coastline, running south until you are out of room, then jump down to the beach (avoiding the Murlocs and whatever below).

    Now SWIM ! lol

Seriously, just swim south for 20 - 30 minutes, all the way down the coast of Stranglethorn Vale, until you get to Booty Bay. Stay fairly close to the shore, to avoid killing “Fatigue”. Not much danger, except a couple of spots where the mobs on the beach might aggro you - watch for that, and stay well out to sea in those cases.

The Horde route to Booty Bay is really easy, it takes about 3 minutes.

Really like the Prairie Dog trick. Unfortunetly, someone else on Sisters of Elune server has the same idea but he dumps 5-10 in the AH at a time. Tricks like the PD are really one trick ponies. Even two players doing the same thing on a server can really mess it up. I love the resell using Auctioneer data. Either you, or someone you trained is snatching everyting blue under 100 gold. This is NOT a complaint! It’s just that some things in the Blueprint are not really workable when a few hundred people start doing it. I still plan on getting the blueprint as soon as it comes out! Your techniques are a real education for me.

    Hey Lee -

I’ve found that with more than 10 million players, this doesn’t turn out to be much of a problem. My guide and method lays out many hundreds of different “profit pipelines” and many of them are certain to work on any given server at any given time. If Prairie Dogs aren’t working for you right now, do Dragonhawks or Kittens etc. Or Saronite Ore. Or Goldclover. Or Bat Bites. Or Glyph of Pestilence. Or… you get the idea :)
