Henry - the level makes no difference, I just use level 1 or so alts for everything. With less than 50g to work with, you should concentrate on building up some gold with items you buy from NPC vendors and auction for much higher prices… limited supply items you can buy in any major city (Recipe: Elixir of Shadow Power is a favorite, buy for 1g sell for 15g or more). Vendor-bought items are very low risk.
Once you have 50g - 100g, start looking at low level herbs (Khadgar’s Whisker, Wild Steelbloom, Liferoot for example) and low level ores (Iron, Silver, Mithril for example). Don’t buy in the auction house until you have figured out the actual selling prices for the stuff you’re watching.
Video is playing fine for me, maybe a connection problem? Try again, I guess. I’ll add downloads in Quicktime format as soon as I have time, that will help.
jon thanks for free videos they have been a great help going to try a few pipe lines now. if i can get them to work will get back to you for your mgb
thanks Dave
Hey Jon,
I just wanted to say that I heard about this guide this week from a friend of mine and I must say that I’m really impressed, I have always wondered if there was any way for a low level player to make this kind of money. Now that you’ve showed me, I will be trying out the advice from the free videos soon, and I hope to get the full version whenever possible. So thanks again for the free previews, they’re extremely beneficial.
hello
i m starting wow with a horde char, can i make mgb ?
and this system work with a low lvl objects?
and las question do you make a video to configure auctioneer ?
Just about everything in MGB is done with low level characters (lvl 1 is OK!). And you start with buying cheap stuff from Vendor NPCs… so absolutely yes, you can do this as a beginner with new toons.
I do a whole set of Auctioneer videos (7 videos on different aspects… includes configuration). The “Tools” module also inclueds videos on 4 other key add-on that I recommend and use.
With the pets, look for opportunities where there isn’t much competition on the auction house right now. This goes up and down all the time… it’s a real “gold mine” when you get a particular pet or group of pets all to yourself for a while (this *does* happen).
You can use the neutral auction house (or cross-faction trading with 2 accounts) to make more profit, since all of the vendor-bought pets are exclusive to either Horde or Alliance. Much higher prices on the “opposite” side.
I have watched your 3 preview videos and some other gold making videos. I can’t seem to get past the undercutter’s or maybe I am not choosing the right items on my server (I seem to make minimal profits)
Am i doing something wrong or just wrong choice of items ?
Kevin - I’m guessing it’s a bit of both… wrong choice of items (for your server), and not playing to the extremes of low vs high for the items you trade. You don’t have to undercut everyone else (resulting in the minimal profits you mention) if you choose items that are in high demand, and watch the full range of price action on these items for a week or so before plunging in. I spend a lot of time in MGB explaining how to do this
Best quick tip I can offer: patience = profit. Wait for your opportunity to post at truly high prices before attempting to sell.
Great videos, very helpful.
I wish my server would have that economy. I play on medium or even low population EU server, i have about 200-240 pages of auction, a lot of competition on glyphs and trade goods (every1 posting on extreamly low price like 90s for Glyph of Mangle or 120g for Titansteel bar) Its hard to earn any money, each day i get about 2-3 pages of expired auctions and maybe 3-8 succesful auctions. I really dont know what to do any suggestions? (im not gonna change server because of my friend)
Hey i have just joined your preview service, before i joined i was/am using the petshop technique, basically i choose a server and a side (one server i use horde another i use ally) i buy a mix of all the pets you cant get from my factions cities for around 50s and sell them on the cross section auction house in booty bay for anything between 10-20g depending on how the econemy is at the time, what is your view on this technique?
This video’s audio stopped after approx. 9 min.
Is there something wrong or should I just reload and restart it?
Thanks for letting me know about the audio dropout. I’ve fixed it now, you might need to reload the page to make sure you get the fixed version.
Enjoy!

what’s a good starting pipeline for a lv 25 with about 26 gold?
Its not working. It just loops after 5 seconds.

Hey Dave and Tyler, thanks for your comments. You can do well with just the info from the preview videos. Happy gold-making!

Worked perfectly. Thanks for your hard work; I’m really excited about the new vids.

You spelt it as Awesoem at the top left of the screen, where it says the name of the webpage (not the URL)
Also, when you buy and sell vanity pets, which do you look for? Any specifics?
Thanks a lot for the guides, have made ~100g on my level 1 so far, starting from 5 gold
