A great WoW add-on that tracks price data on individual items and after a couple of scans creates a price history graph. This is a great supplement to Auctioneer because you can visualize the price cycles (daily, weekly, monthly highs and lows) which helps you determine the best times to buy and sell.

Hey Jonathan,
I’m following the MGB series and had no problems until this MarketWatcher segment. I’ve installed the curse version 2.13 but I’m not able to graph any items from my list (the graph button stays grayed out). It seems that graphing these items is nearly essential to easily use the MGB series. i’ve been scanning twice daily for the last 3 days with no help. Any suggestions or workarounds?
Thanks.
Hey Vance, it sounds like you don’t have “Record Scans” enabled in Market Watcher. You need to enable it for each individual item: right-click on an item you’ve added, in the History view, you’ll see a check box labeled “Record Scans”… make sure it’s checked. Then on the Scan tab, make sure the check box beside the Scan button, also labeled “Record Scans”, is checked. You won’t get graphs until you’ve scanned properly at least 3 or 4 times.
BTW, using Market Watcher is not essential at all! It’s just a useful tool, very helpful for researching pipelines without doing a lot of recording of prices by hand. The essential thing is to keep track of price data for the item you are researching, once or twice a day, consistently, for a week or more. You can do this several different ways, including just writing down the info on a piece of paper.
How can I make the item pictures smaller? Cause I have 30 items to scan, so I have to scroll down all the time
After I run a scan in Market Watcher in the results it usually say there were 0 auctions 0 listings ( ( think that’s right ), but if I click on it then it shows a whole lot of items up for sale and their prices!!!.
Some items behave this way, others will properly show how many items and how many auctions without clicking on them.
Why don’t they all behave the same way?
Why do some items claim there were no auctions and no items listed when in fact there may be hundreds of items listed?
