    You can’t however bid on your own auctions posted with your alt on the opposite faction

    I don’t think it’s true that you can’t have characters from both factions on a PvP server. I’m on a PvP server, Executus, and I do have characters from both factions on that server.

      I don’t remember when the change was made, but when WoW first started and for several years thereafter, you could only have characters of one faction on a PvP server. If I remember correctly, the argument was it was so players couldn’t roll a toon of the opposing faction just to “talk smack” with their enemies.

      However, you are correct in that currently you can have toons of both factions on one account on a PvP server.
