Crafting Crush: Herbs

Herbs are used for both Alchemy and Inscription. There’s a difference, though, between Alchemy and Inscription in that Inscription follows groupings, so that the herbs that are in demand for Inscription are grouped with herbs of equivalent value in what I call tiers; there are 8 tiers, soon to be 9, of herbs. (See Herbs-by-Tier Cheat Sheet below) The thing that will differentiate the prices and give you the best herbs for each tier level and each profession level will be how much they’re used for Alchemy. That’s what I’m focusing on here, the herbs that are in the most demand for Alchemy.

This is another great category but it’s different from the other top Crafting Crush Plan categories. I’ve talked about enchanting materials and metals as being top choices; but herbs are great, too. However, it’s different in the sense that herbs are always in play as top gold makers, all of them really. It’s hard to find herbs that don’t do well if you have a pretty good sense for your market on your Auction House and if you play according to best practices and don’t overspend. So for the Crush plan, because you could be buying practically anything and doing okay, think of it this way, just focus on the individual herbs that are the most in demand for Alchemy skill-ups.

Definitely get into this category if you aren’t already familiar with it. It’s a perennial big gold maker and all the more so during the Cataclysm expansion, certainly for the Crafting Crush Plan. And as I mention several times throughout this video, the long-term prospects are very good as well. You can buy with confidence, buy more than you think you might need, and you probably will not be disappointed.
